We hosted a Christmas-themed augmented reality tour in Central Park

Here’s 7 minutes of pure Christmas cheer to cap off your holiday season. Thanks to everyone who came to Central Park last month to play Meshmaps second large AR event and helped Santa save Christmas! We searched for presents, threw snowballs, talked to snowmen, and tested our luck in an “airdrop” themed minigame.

And in case it isn’t clear, this is all ONE continuous scene extending half a KILOMETER (0.29 miles) across a 7300 sq meter play area (1.81 acres).

Details on the Experience

Join us for a Christmas-themed augmented reality tour and scavenger hunt in Central Park. Collect digital gifts, blast snowy fiends, and explore digital decorations as you help Santa save Christmas!

​​Guests will be provided with a Magic Leap 2 AR headset.

​​Eyeglasses do NOT fit under the Magic Leap 2 and cannot be worn at the same time. Prescription insert lenses will be in limited supply at the event. It is recommended you wear contact lenses if you need corrective lenses.

​​The event will start with a tutorial on how to use the Magic Leap 2 and localize your device, so please arrive 5-10 minutes before your reservation time.
