
Adriana García is an artist, graphic designer and illustrator based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She has a bachelor's degree in Humanities, with a concentration in Fine Arts and a specialty in Drawing, with a second concentration in Communications in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Her passion for the arts and communications resulted in a career in Graphic Design, as a fusion between both disciplines. This led her to obtain a Master's Degree in Digital Design with a Specialty in Branding from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid (IED).
She was the resident artist of the San Juan Estuary Bay in 2020 where she developed a series of Augmented Reality experiences for environmental education. In addition to her design studio, AGar Estudio, where she works on projects for branding, book design and layout, UI / UX and Augmented Reality, she participates in other projects such as the creation of comics and zines. The Zine Miscelánea Vol. III received the Best Zine award of the Tintero Festival in 2019. She has been a speaker at initiatives such as Technolochicas, professional sessions at Atlantic University College and Guest Artist at the Bayamón Museum of Art. She has also participated in events such as Santurce es Ley, artist exhibitions and is a member of the Les Insu Collective.
