Adriana García Soto is a multidisciplinary designer who straddles the line between the real and the digital at AGar Estudio, where she specializes in branding, augmented reality (AR), and illustration. She transforms her illustrations into interactive projects, developing paper models that people can build themselves and immersive AR experiences. Her practice involves exploring urban spaces and inhabitants, often in a ludic way. She has explored these themes through artist books, paper models, zines, and AR.
She earned her Master's degree in Digital Design with a specialization in Branding from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Madrid (IED). She completed her Bachelor's degree in Humanities, with a concentration in Fine Arts and a specialization in Drawing, and a second concentration in Communications with a focus on Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
She was the artist-in-residence at the San Juan Bay Estuary in 2020. She has been a speaker at initiatives such as Technolochicas, professional sessions at Atlantic University College, Universidad de Sagrado Corazón, and the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao, a guest artist at the Bayamón Museum of Art, collaborator in the Command Z podcast and has exhibited at events such as Santurce es Ley and Puerto Rican Women in Arts. She is a graduate of La Cepa and Grupo Guayacán's Conectando tu Negocio al Éxito (Connecting Your Business to Success) program. She is currently a member of the illustrators' collective Les Insu, with whom she founded the Casa de Ilustración (Illustration House) and the Puerto Rican Illustrators Directory. She will be the resident artist at the Puerto Rico Museum of Art in March 2026.
